The Bulgarian-born Weissenberg (1929-2012) recorded ‘Rach 3’ twice in the studio, with Prêtre in Chicago (RCA) and with Bernstein in Paris (EMI). With Martinon (1910-76) there are also wonderful aspects to savour.
