(SF, 12 August 2023) With regret, Franz Welser-Möst must withdraw from his concerts with the Vienna Philharmonic on 20 and 21 August. He is recovering well from his orthopaedic problems but his consultants have recommended he refrain from conducting for another three weeks to ensure they do not reoccur.
The Salzburg Festival is very grateful to Daniel Harding, who has agreed to conduct the Vienna Philharmonic in the same programme.
The two concerts are part of the concert series “Vienna Philharmonic” and “Time with Ligeti”.
