Who is introducing the programme, and who are the commentators ?
Derham’s smug smirking is hard to take; thank the stars for the camp humour of the wonderful Nicky Spence.
Left to right, Katie Derham presenting, Nicky Spence and Anna Lapwood. Chris Addison is the latest guest.
What an absolute dull Last Night of the Proms! A lot of talking and little music, blink and you’d missed it.Uninspired. It seemed all about Angel Blue who wore a horrible outfit. Wasn’t there anyone to advice her how to flatter a full figure. She’s not the only singer with that problem. The BBC orchestra, chorus and singers were excellent as always. Quite honestly I wouldn’t stay home fir it next year.
and why get Sir Stephen to play only the middle part of the S-Saens? The last movement would have brought the house down…..but I enjoyed his playing (not so much the encore) and the Walton and Faure. Given the prices it is better to go to 3 other Proms for the same money! The season as whole was really excellent.
