Arthur Bliss’s music for the Alexander Korda-produced film Things to Come (released 1936) based on H. G. Wells’s novel The Shape of Things to Come. The LSO recorded the soundtrack, and this Suite some twenty years later, the composer conducting.

Little Pomp if plenty of Circumstance – maybe Elgar’s “Quick March” titling is taken too literally here, by Stanley Pope (especially), Sir Ernest MacMillan, and Sir Arthur Bliss. Also Bliss’s own Welcome the Queen.
