Warner Classics is very pleased to announce a new series of recordings by the distinguished French violinist Augustin Dumay in the coming years.

The first releases will involve Volume 1 of the complete Bach Sonatas and Partitas in April next year, followed by Mr Dumay’s first ever recording of the Brahms concerto with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Eliahu Inbal. More will follow (including the volume 2 of the Bach).

Alain Lanceron, President of Warner Classics, said: “I am delighted that Augustin Dumay – a dear friend and cherished artist over many years – is initiating a series of recordings which we will release on Warner Classics. Augustin has been closely associated with our label in the past, and it is therefore a great pleasure to welcome him again into our home. These new recordings will represent the culmination of his long and distinguished career.”

Augustin Dumay said, “I am so pleased to be able to work again with Warners and Alain, in initiating this new series of recordings, including works that I have never recorded before. The support of Warner Classics in this venture will be invaluable.”
