Despite any niggling frustrations – OK lots of niggling frustrations – still one of our great cultural assets. News service without parallel. Anyone who disputes this, watch a little US news, especially Fox ‘News’.

Er…….the first regular broadcasting in the UK began in 1918, soon networked across England, and the British Broadcasting Corporation was not formed until 1926 – but why let facts get in the way?

Yes, but the heading is British Broadcasting Corporation, which did not come into existence until 1926.

Boys, boys! Give or take, it’s about a century….. As is my favoured local garage, I’ve just found out – that’s not a bad record either. Summer 1922. What sort of cars did they service then?
By the way, my 11.56am comment is out of place, Col. Tell your computer.
