Mikko Franck cancels concert with the Berliner Philharmoniker on 24 April 2021. In his place,
Daniel Barenboim [pictured] conducts the live concert in the Digital Concert Hall
Due to the current pandemic situation and the associated travel restrictions, conductor Mikko Franck has
unfortunately had to cancel his guest appearance at short notice.
The Berliner Philharmoniker are very grateful to their honorary conductor Daniel Barenboim for being
able to stand in for him at the last minute.
The programme of the concert has been slightly changed and is now completely dedicated to the work of
Johannes Brahms. It includes his Symphony No. 1 in C minor op. 68 [replacing Sibelius 5] and his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 1 in D minor op. 15, played by Yefim Bronfman.
