Due to the current pandemic situation and the associated travel restrictions, the Berliner Philharmoniker
and their chief conductor Kirill Petrenko have unfortunately had to cancel the European concert on 1 May
in the Sagrada Família [pictured] in Barcelona. The subsequent tour of Spain, which would have also taken the
orchestra to Madrid, is also affected by the cancellation.
The Berliner Philharmoniker and the organisers in Spain are working to make up for the concerts in one
of the next seasons.
A search is currently under way for a replacement venue in the Berlin/Brandenburg region for the
traditional European Concert on 1 May.
