It is so sad we lost Ferras so early in his career.
I remember his Sibelius appearing on DG. Not only for its impeccable playing but for the painting of a young Sibelius not widely known at that time.
I had never seen it and it immediately began to shape my thinking of Sibelius, not as the old sage but as a young Turk with fire in his belly and romance in his heart
