Sir Colin’s discography does not include this work, although he did conduct it with the LSO some years later (Barbican).

    I think Colin had a bit of an ambivalent view on Elgar.
    I think he tried to understand the underlying genius but came up with a serious doubt about the worth of the actual music in a modern society.
    Almost a sense of embarrassment when conducting Elgar.
