Emmanuel Krivine (pictured) has resigned as music director of Orchestre national de France with immediate effect. “After sharing so many beautiful moments of music and humanity with the Orchestre national de France and our loyal audience during our concerts (around seventy), I have decided however, for personal reasons, to end my activities at Radio France.” (As translated from Krivine’s French.)
And when the Konzerthausorchester Berlin gives a concert in Dortmund on June 7 (no doubt with Covid-19 regulations strictly in place) the conductor will not be Christoph Eschenbach leading Haydn and Beethoven for he is replaced by Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla in the same programme.
