In light of current Covid-19 national restrictions Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival informs you that the live BBC Radio 3 outside broadcasts that were planned to come from St Paul’s Hall, Huddersfield on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 have been moved to the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios.

Due to the recent withdrawal of the travel corridor between Germany and the UK was withdrawn. This means that accordionist Eva Zöllner will no longer be able to travel to perform as part of the live BBC Radio 3 broadcast on Saturday, November 21. Heather Roche will now perform a solo programme as follows:

Martin Iddon (UK, 1975) Sapindales World Premiere (2020) 21′

Lisa Robertson (UK, 1993) Heartwood World Premiere (2020) 10-13′ 

On Sunday, November 22 the BBC Radio 3 broadcast of the London Sinfonietta celebrating James Dillon’s 70th birthday at the Royal Festival Hall will now be a recorded performance.

Sound installations by Brigitta  Muntendorf (Bates Mill Photographic Studio) and Georgia Rodgers (Temporary Contemporary, Queensgate Marketwill not now take place.
