After three fantastic seasons with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, we’re thrilled to announce that Chief Conductor Domingo Hindoyan will extend his contract until July 2028.
Since joining us as Chief Conductor in 2021, Domingo has introduced incredible new sounds to Liverpool’s audiences and his dedication, talent and enthusiasm has enhanced the Orchestra’s reputation both locally and nationally.
“In the next five years, I hope to continue building on our unique sound, encourage new, eclectic and diverse repertoire, and to enjoy the warmth, enthusiasm and open-mindedness of the Liverpool audience – something that always brings me immense joy.” Domingo Hindoyan
As well as continuing to introduce audiences to new and rare works, future plans include a focus on singing and choral activity, and bringing world-class operatic performances to the Hall. Domingo will also continue to work closely with Liverpool Philharmonic’s learning programmes to encourage children and young people to engage in classical music.
We’re excited to see what the next five years of music making with Domingo will bring!
