Another wonderful piece that despite its apparent jollity I find very touching: I suppose it is that sense of nostalgia. Thanks again, Colin.

Evocative ain’t the word. I’m old enough (honestly, only JUST) to remember Horse Guards as the signature tune to the Home Service’s ‘Down Your Way’ presented by Franklin Engelmann for seventeen years or so. Civilised, non-confrontative Radio Days!
