As hospitals go, the one I was in (for the third time) is rather hotel-like, but home is home, although my stays there did garner some very nice friendships (every cloud…). On my most-recent return I penned this, http://www.colinscolumn.com/the-return-of-the-native-well-colin/, and was chuffed at the kind responses.
So, a year on, I thought the Largo from Dvořák’s ‘New World’ Symphony would be appropriate, not least because the movement is sometimes referred to as ‘Going Home’, if hopefully, in my case, staying home.

May there be many more such anniversaries Colin ❤️
Thanks Liz, I’ll aim for two years 🙂 Col x
A lovely thought Colin, here’s wishing you well.
Col
You have brightened all our lives over the past year and on a daily basis.
With all the misery in the world your resilience is very welcome so stay where you are and carry on please.
Best wishes.
Couldn’t agree more with all of the above!
Continue to keep well, dear Colin. And I loved your choice of illustrations too, musical and otherwise. If that is Snoopy the Dog going home, well Peanuts was the best cartoon strip EVERRRRR.
Best regards to you, Colin, for the best of health and lots more beautiful music.
Col, it’s good to have you and your perceptive thoughts and values back in the arena.
Thanks everyone for the above messages, and similar on email. Much appreciated. Col
