Julian Lloyd Webber speaks out (in the Radio Times) about the BBC Singers (or as much of it that fits!).

Well spoken, Julian! Haven’t quite seen all you have written, on this notification. I must get myself a Radio Times, to catch the missing bits. I can remember when John also was fighting orchestral cuts at the BBC….
And by the way, BBC World News, another star performer, is also facing cuts.
There isn’t much missing, Monica.
The downright illiterate, ignorant nonsense with which BBC has clothed this outrageous decision says it all. What the hell has happened to the Corporation? How on earth has it been permitted to sink to this abysmal level of third-rate media-speak? Well done, Julian – printing your piece is the first good thing the Radio Times has done since the BBC sold it, along with all of their other publications, to an outside firm over ten years ago. But if the pressure is kept up – yet if you write to the BBC, your initial reply comes on BBC headed notepaper, written by an outside company, Capita, paid by the BBC for that single purpose – and don’t let it rest, we might, just might, get somewhere.
