Kings Place’s annual flagship Unwrapped series continues its exploration of the sounds of the city with 2021’s London Unwrapped which returns in full force this September, kicking off with a line-up of composer/performers whose music reflects their heritage and London’s multi-cultural influences – The Askew Sisters, Pouya Ehsaei, Ayanna Witter-Johnson, Belle Chen and Theon Cross – alongside two kaleidoscopic programmes from Southbank Sinfonia and Aurora Orchestra.

London Unwrapped explores the story of Britain’s most cosmopolitan city through music from Handel to Joe Harriot, JC Bach to Theon Cross, Haydn to the Hermes Experiment. Woven through the many contemporary programmes presented throughout autumn are three concerts with Cassie Kinoshi who, together with Iestyn Davies, is one of two Artists in Residence, and programmes with Aurora Orchestra, the OAE, The Sixteen and the Hanover Band which look to the roots of London’s multiculturalism.
