Klaus Mäkelä’s current appointments are these: Chief Conductor & Artistic Advisor of the Oslo Philharmonic; Artistic Director of the Turku Music Festival; Principal Guest Conductor of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra; and Artist in Association with Tapiola Sinfonietta.
Finnish conductor Klaus Mäkelä announced as music director of Orchestre de Paris from September 2022. He succeeds Daniel Harding.
Sounds like more Nordic/Sibelius for the Parisians to play. Why not some Nielsen and other less well known Scandinavia composers to get to grips with.
