Lars quotes: “Schlaf sanft, mein Kind, schlaf sanft und schön! Mich dauerts sehr, dich weinen sehn”.
(Sleep, sleep my child, in sweet repose, it grieves me so to see thee weep).

Sleep, sleep, dear Lars, sleep peacefully! It grieves us so, to see thee no more.

Sage Gateshead audiences will remember Lars with greatest affection. His time with Royal Northern Sinfonia, and his pre-concert talks, evoke cherished memories for so many music lovers.
