LSO Wagner – Reginald Goodall conducts Prelude & Liebestod (Tristan und Isolde); Leopold Stokowski conducts from Die Meistersinger (Prelude to Act III; Dance of the Apprentices; Procession of the Mastersingers); and it’s Stokowski in selections from Götterdämmerung (Siegfried’s Rhine Journey & Funeral March; Brünnhilde’s Immolation).

    So my mind goes back 50 years to today when I joined a packed RAH for Stoky’s 90th birthday thrash culminating in about 40 minutes of encores.
    Oh happy days.
