Let two previous posts tell the current story. It’s amazing the restrictions a stiff neck imposes … but I am confident that I shall soon be journeying to light from darkness, from C-minor to C-major, so that’s Beethoven’s Fifth in a nutshell. I have long-liked Ansermet’s OSR/Decca recording, made, as it happens, in the year of my birth, 1958.

Exposition repeat…

I am currently hors de combat – nothing to worry about, more an inconvenience, and nothing like the accompanying image, it simply means perhaps-fewer additions on the Column, if temporarily. Nor have I been conducting erratically, like Lully.

Development: Looks like being another barren day, Sunday the Eleventh, on the Column…

    So sorry to hear that you are hors de combat Colin, I hope not for long. Also apologies for delayed response. I’ve been extra very busy with various things, and also some members of my family hors de combat in various ways….
