Free Series for Individuals with Dementia and Their Caregivers Returns

Lincoln Center Moments Fall Series Begins Oct 19

NEW YORK (October 15, 2021) — Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts announces the Lincoln Center Moments Fall 2021 season, a virtual performance-based program specially designed for individuals with dementia and their caregivers. This program is free with registration required. Each program includes a performance followed by activities facilitated by educators and music therapists exploring the work through discussion, movement, music, and artmaking. The fall season takes place virtually, bringing classical music, ballet, opera, jazz, and contemporary dance directly into homes from partners across the Lincoln Center campus and beyond: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater,American Ballet TheatreChamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln CenterThe Juilliard School,Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Metropolitan Opera Guild, and the New York Philharmonic. The eight programs include everything from virtual excerpts of Cendrillon (Cinderella) and Revelations to reflections through sound, movement, and sculpture in Andrea Miller’s You Are Here, to a celebration of Billie Holiday.
