Tuesday 22 December 2020, from 6pm

This Christmas, members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra Brass section and London Philharmonic Choir perform a festive carol concert at Claridge’s, London’s iconic Mayfair hotel, premiering in cinemas across the UK on Tuesday 22 December.

Nestled in the Art Deco interiors of London’s glittering 1920s icon, the 60-minute black and white film transports viewers back to a time of wonder, celebrating Christmas in a traditional glamorous style. From the decadent marble hall with its magnificent Christmas tree to the great Ballroom and the French Salon, the LPO’s players and singers perform a selection of Christmas carols and seasonal classics, including O Come, All Ye Faithful and Ding dong! Merrily on High, conducted by Neville Creed.

LPO Chief Executive David Burke commented:
“In a year that’s been difficult for many, we are thrilled to be able to offer a little light relief in the form of the London Philharmonic Orchestra Christmas concert, this year shared to all corners of the UK. We hope that this celebratory film brings a little joy to the end of 2020, and gives us and audiences the chance to support local cinemas, which have suffered throughout the pandemic.”

The film will be available at 26 cinemas across the UK, released by Republic Film Distribution, including Exmouth, Liverpool, Bath, Brighton, Guernsey, Southampton, Basingstoke, Cambridge, Penrith and many more.
