Mahler Festival Leipzig:
Audio Live Streaming, TV and Radio Broadcast
For all Gustav Mahler fans who cannot travel to Leipzig, there will be a wide range of radio and TV broadcasts, as well as live audio streaming and on-demand offerings on various channels. Overview: www.mahlerfestival.de/stream
The Gewandhaus offers live audio streams of the festival’s concerts, the lecture series and the talks in the Mahler Lounge on www.mahlerfestival.de. The lecture series and aditionally the pre concert talks (not audible in the livestream) will be available for on-demand listening on www.mahlerfestival.de/mediathek.
The daily streaming schedule will be announced on social media and on the Gewandhaus website.
In cooperation with Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk and in collaboration with ARTE, Accentus Music will record Mahlers´s 2nd Symphony with the Gewandhausorchester, which will be shown on ARTE TV and ARTE Concert on May 21 (4.50 p.m. CET) and live on MDR Klassik and MDR Kultur on May 18.
Three additional concerts will be recorded and streamed by Accentus Music in co-production with Bayerischer Rundfunk and in collaboration with ARTE, also for broadcast on ARTE Concert (Munich Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Festival Orchestra).
Public radio Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk broadcasts these four concerts live, plus the recording of the opening concert with Gustav Mahler’s “Die drei Pintos” as well as the recording of concert with the MDR Symphony Orchestra and MDR Choir.
