Martyn’s Vaughan Williams Symphony Cycle for Hyperion continues soon (all now recorded, awaiting release); it reached Symphony 5 before Covid intervened:
Brian Ferneyhough’s remarkable masterpiece, La terre est un homme
Forthcoming Puccini, August 21
Happy birthday to a wonderful and versatile conductor. I’m so pleased to catch the Ferneyhough, it’s an amazing piece that is new to me.
Many Happy Returns to a truly wonderful musician and conductor, now at the height of his powers.
Agreeing with the above two comments. Whether he is conducting Beethoven or Birtwistle, and whatever in between, Mr Brabbins knows the score.
Yes, a top conductor and brilliant musician.
