I play your Supraphon Honegger LPs with great pleasure as with your Debussy on EMI.
You won’t remember but we collaborated on a stunning performance of the Grande Messe de Mort by Berlioz all those years ago at the RFH.
I still remember the excitement of the young talented musicians of the YMSO you so wonderfully inspired .
I was Chairman of the orchestra and was delighted to welcome you to London, a city that has not heard you enough over the years.

I have such good memories of being privileged to produce your EMI recordings of Debussy (La mer/Jeux) and Ravel (the piano concertos with Philip Fowke). Until those sessions, the subtleties of Jeux were something of a mystery to me. Thank you for your wonderful elucidation of this magical score!
