A lovely, warm-hearted, generous man, and wonderful artist, with whom I was happily very recently in contact. Happy birthday, Ian, and thank you for all your brilliant concerts and recordings.
What a voice! Thank goodness for all those wonderful recordings, Monteverdi, Schumann, Purcell, Partridge is the greatest songster and an important teacher of many current Lieder artists.
