Britten Sinfonia gives the first London performance of Gregor A Mayrhofer’s Recycling Concerto at its Barbican concert on 12 March, with percussionist Vivi Vassileva and the composer on the rostrum. Since its premiere in 2022 the work has been travelling internationally, with each performance featuring a set of percussion instruments assembled locally from waste materials.
