What a great musician; I was lucky to hear him in Chicago conduct MAHLER 6, scherzo 2nd (sorry Mr Matthew-Walker). On the morning after he was in the Art institute looking at the great collection there.
Peter, for the record, when Gielen conducted M6 during the 2013 Salzburg Festival he placed the slow movement second.
