The Davidoff Trio, current holder of the Parkhouse Award, is presented at Wigmore Hall as part of a short UK tour including Barnes Music Society and a Coffee Concert at Holywell Music Room, Oxford.
Founded in 2021, the Davidoff Trio is committed to making classical music accessible to wider audiences by combining traditional repertoire with innovative concert formats in unusual venues, creating opportunities to experience chamber music in new contexts. In January 2025, the trio launched an interdisciplinary concert series in Mainz, Germany, at the popular bar Nirgendwo. The series brings together classical music, jazz and poetry. In addition they have performed in Spain, Italy, Finland and Japan, and in 2026 gave their debut performance of Beethoven’s Triple Concert at the Philharmonie Essen.
Through the recently established Parkhouse Award Performance Fund, the Davidoff Trio is meeting audiences across the UK. Performances include the acclaimed North York Moors Chamber Music Festival in August and, during the 2027/28 season, concerts take place in Cornwall, Leicester, Norwich, Devon and the Lake District.

NB: 2026 marks the 35th anniversary of the first Parkhouse Award winners concert by the Grieg Trio.
Another significant 35th anniversary connected with the Award dates back to a performance at Wigmore Hall on 1 February 1987 by the renowned Music Group of London, comprising Hugh Bean (violin), Eileen Croxford (cello) and David Parkhouse (piano). Following the untimely death of her husband, David Parkhouse, Eileen Croxford established the Parkhouse Award in his memory to benefit emerging chamber ensembles.
