On Saturday 27 March and Wednesday 31 March 2021, Virtual Circle – the Live-Streaming and digital content platform from HarrisonParrott – will present a special concert from star violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja and CAMERATA BERN in an adaptation of their Grammy Award-winning programme Death and the Maiden.

CAMERATA BERN, with their artistic partner Patricia Kopatchinskaja and the filmmaker Quinn Reimann, have created a distinctive film that will combine poetic cinematography, stark scenography, subtle lighting as well as creative projection techniques, all staged in the unique atmosphere of Bern’s Reitschule – Grosse Halle.

Described as a ‘poetic concert film’, the concert programme is anchored around Franz Schubert‘s Death and the Maiden with works from the Middle Ages to modern times contrasting and interweaving around Schubert’s famous quartet. Schubert’s song setting of the eponymous poem by Matthias Claudius, which was filmed earlier, can also be experienced in this programme featuring Patricia Kopatchinskaja as vocal artist.

Tickets for the streamed concerts can be purchased from https://www.emusiclive.com/Camerata_Bern, at £10.

Launched in December 2020, HarrisonParrott partnered with eMusic Live to create this new platform for classical music and the arts. Virtual Circle not only provides audiences with a ‘concert look and feel’ with engaging interactive features, but also in-platform promotional opportunities for artists, something which is not offered by any other digital concert platforms, these include high-resolution album downloads, ticket bundles, and action buttons directing audiences to additional content.
