Hear, hear to this, Col. Lee was one of those artists to whom many a lieder singer would do well to lend an ear for a masterclass on phrasing and breath control. Sinatra (much admired by Fischer-Dieskau) was another. Try the later albums, starting with the 1975 Leiber & Stoller ‘Mirrors’ with backing by a fabulous orchestra of top session musos. Breathy, sexy, knowing, wry. Charisma in spades.

Lovely in its way (such a wonderful song), but a bit smoochy for me. I prefer this (speaking as folks who live on the hill, literally!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CufF_oYbpP4
