English Touring Opera is on the lookout for boys to play Orgando in its production
of Handel’s opera Amadigi, which tours the UK in October and November this year.
The role is modest but crucial. If you’re the parent, teacher, or guardian of a boy who
would like to perform with us, please let us know.
HOW TO APPLY
Fill out the application form here and send a short (1-2 min) audio recording of
yourself singing something in English that shows your range to

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO AUDITION?
Boys must have unbroken voices and be between the ages of 10 and 13.
WHERE WILL THE PERFORMANCES AND REHEARSALS BE?
We are touring to following towns and cities and you would need to be able to travel
to one of these for either one or two performances:
Hackney Empire (London), Hexham Abbey (Hexham), York Theatre Royal (York),
Poole Lighthouse (Poole), Royal Spa Centre (Leamington Spa), Great Malvern Priory
(Malvern), Wiltshire Music Centre (Bradford-on-Avon), Saffron Hall (Saffron Walden),
Assembly Halls (Tunbridge Wells), Snape Maltings (Snape) and Exeter Northcott
(Exeter).
We will send you all the material that you will need to prepare for the role, and you will
need to attend rehearsals with the cast at the theatre on the day of the performance.
AM I PAID FOR THE PERFORMANCES?
Yes, you will receive a performance fee and travel expenses.
