Today [April 27] we can confirm that all remaining Royal Opera House performances, events and activities will be cancelled until the end of the Season, up to and including 23 July. We will keep any date for re-opening under constant review following direct guidance from the government and Public Health England.

In the meantime, all events, tours, Insights, schools’ events and cinema screenings are also cancelled for the remainder of the Season. If you have tickets to a cinema screening, you will need to contact the cinema directly.

We want to take this opportunity to thank our community of artists, craftspeople and other backstage staff, as well as our supporters and audiences, as we continue to navigate through this incredibly difficult time.

Although our building is closed, we remain open 24/7 online through our #OurHouseToYourHouse programme, which provides a suite of content that audiences can access for free anywhere, anytime. Our Create and Learn programme also provides free home-learning opportunities for children and young people between now and 17 July, with new activities, challenges and courses added every Friday.

We will contact all ticket buyers as soon as possible to discuss donating all or part of their ticket(s), credits towards future tickets, or refunds. We are working hard to process requests as swiftly as possible.
