   I wish Roger were running the Proms, BBC Radio 3 – pretty well anything. He genuinely knows his stuff, and especially cares for British music. ‘Nuff said, probably….

     Roger is a true visionary. My days at Radio 3 when he was running the joint amounted to the highpoint of my broadcasting career and I am eternally grateful that I was able to do so much – planning and presenting literally hundreds of programmes across a number if years – while the Wright administration was in place. Whoever next has the benefit of his guidance will be much the richer for it. Onwards and upwards from here dear friend!
