Daniele Rustioni has withdrawn from conducting all performances of Don Carlo. The production will now be conducted by Bertrand de Billy.

French-born, Bertrand de Billy previously conducted Don Carlo at Covent Garden in 2017. For The Royal Opera he has also led productions of Cendrillon (2011), Maria Stuarda (2013), Carmen (2015), and L’elisir d’amore (2017). He has conducted at the Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg and Munich State Operas, Théâtre de La Monnaie in Brussels, Opéra national de Paris, as well as in Washington and Los Angeles. He has been making regular guest appearances at the New York Metropolitan Opera where he has just finished conducting Dialogues des Carmélites.
