Sad news: baritone, and ENO stalwart throughout the 1970s & 1980s, Neil Howlett has died at the age of 85.

Alexander Campbell writes… “Neil Howlett was the possessor of a large, beautiful virile voice and a keen stage presence. I remember his Amfortas (under Goodall) particularly but he was also very impressive in the Verdian repertoire as well.”
