I am so sad to hear this – I was very fond of Tony, though he could be a bit gruff from time to time (though not to me). A lot of his music is very original and interesting, and I enjoyed listening to it. I last saw Tony in Stockport, on April 1st this year, at one of John Turner’s 2 concerts celebrating his (John’s) 80th birthday. He had been in hospital, but got himself out in time to attend. He seemed frail, but had driven himself to Stockport, I think together with his long-time lady friend Ray. I gather that he had to take a driving test in order to be allowed out of hospital, as he was dependent on driving to get shopping back to his home. Until the pandemic stopped it, Tony would drive from the north to the outskirts of my home town, where he had family living, to spend Christmas there, and we would meet for a drink/coffee/bite to eat at a roadhouse not far away. But I never met his family, and have no idea how to contact them.
Tony wrote a very interesting little autobiography, self-published I think, and sent me a copy. it is well worth reading, for any who are interested.

Sad beyond words.A generous and wonderful friend to my late husband, Michael Hall, and to me. We are losing the very best of us.
