Sad news: Donald Peck – a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1957 to 1999 and principal flute for many years – has died aged 92.

Donald Peck features in this recording of Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro (for Harp, Flute, Clarinet and Strings, the latter multiple here rather than Ravel’s specified quartet); Jean Martinon conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (1969) with Peck alongside Edward Druzinsky (harp) and Clark Brody.
