The leading French high coloratura soprano of her generation, active between the mid-50s and mid-80s, with a recorded catalogue that was extensive and distinguished.

A fine artist with a luminous agile voice and a sure sense of style in the French repertoire especially. We are lucky, thanks in major part to EMI, she left such a extensive and varied recorded legacy and that future generations will be able to enjoy and admire her artistry. I don’t believe she ever sang at the Royal Opera House in London – what a loss.
