Sequoia is an absolute knock-out work. John and I both loved it, and I recommend it to any who don’t know it. I’ve only heard one or two of Joan Tower’s other works, and on the whole I haven’t found them live up to Sequoia – but this is long since, and I may well be wrong/out of date.
