Middle of the night, my time. Woke up, knew the Mozart was live from the Shed, switched on, caught Acts III (most) & IV, beautifully and stylishly played by the BSO conducted by Andris Nelsons, moderate tempos ideal, singers not pressured, unfailingly expressive. And… what superb sound from CRB (Nick Squire, engineer), perfect balance between vocalists and orchestra, intimate warmth happily bonded to clarity and presence.
