LSO St Luke’s will host an incredible evening of music making on Saturday November 30th when vocalist Teodora Brody makes her UK concert debut.

Performing with the London Symphony Orchestra and conductor Robert Ziegler, Teodora presents her Rhapsody programme of widely loved classical repertoire reinterpreted uniquely with her own jazz styling. Teodora recasts well-known works, bringing an entirely fresh perspective to Bach, Bartók, Beethoven, Enescu and Pachelbel by fusing the worlds of classical, jazz and global music.

With elemental powers of expression and an incredible four octave vocal range, Teodora’s astonishing instrument is a force of nature that is unforgettable. Teodora is a peerless genre-defying vocalist who leaves audiences across the globe enthralled by her artistry which encompasses jazz, classical, global music and beyond.

Teodora first collaborated with the London Symphony Orchestra when recording the Rhapsody album for the Signum label. The recording was greeted with international praise and five-star reviews including:

“Rhapsody, a voice from the depths of the Earth…with Bartók and his Romanian Dances, the Romanian is in her element, becoming a meeting point between three overwhelming forces of nature: Bartók, jazz and Teodora Brody.” Ritmo

Teodora’s concert with the LSO follows her debut at Carnegie Hall with jazz legend Stanley Jordan and a US tour with her quartet that included the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

This concert is organised in partnership with the Romanian Cultural Institute in London and prefaces Romania’s National Day, celebrated every year on 1 December.
