Today’s Radio 4 Extra Hancock episode (from February 1957) finds Tony inheriting a Scottish castle (Glen Sporran), making an enemy, and involved in a wacky version of the Highland Games. The usual cast – Sid, Bill, Kenneth and Hattie – are joined by James Robertson Justice as a blood-thirsty Scot (Seamus McNasty) sworn to rid the World of anyone named McHancock. Sid of course is keen to nick Tony’s inheritance by devious means. Midday broadcast on now, also at 7 p.m.; 24/7 on BBC Sounds.
