A superb line up of stellar names is promised for this year’s Petworth Festival Autumn Special (16th Oct – 1st Nov).

Like so many events, the summer festival had to be cancelled, but the Petworth team has been able to pull the rabbit from the hat over the intervening months and is poised to present a sequence of events that feature a stellar line up of musical and literary talents across all genres.

Mitsuko Uchida [pictured], Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason, guitarist Miloŝ and jazz singers Patti Boulaye and Clare Teal will all bring music to the beautiful St Mary’s Church, whilst the literary programme will include top authors William Boyd, Anthony Horowitz and Joanna Trollope.

All events will include a small invited audience and will be filmed in Petworth and streamed online.  Says Festival Director, Stewart Collins: “We will be aiming to create as much as a live experience as possible with live Q&A sessions with the authors and small invited audiences at all events to ensure a level of ambience that will make a huge difference to the performers, many of whom  will not have performed since March”.

The full programme will be announced on 17th September.

Tickets to individual events will be priced at £4.99 and supporters are being urged to take advantage of attractive season tickets.

“We would hope that our audience will take advantage of the season tickets, partly as there are so many events that are off-the-scale in quality but also to help support both our performers and the festival itself. The creative world has taken a massive hit this year as have we, but happily we have an incredible line up in place and are confident that we can bring much joy directly into people’s homes, added Collins.
