From 2 June audiences worldwide will be able to watch Vladimir Jurowski’s final Royal Festival Hall concert as Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Jurowski conducts the LPO in a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake filmed at the Royal Festival Hall, the LPO’s resident venue, last week. Considered the greatest Russian ballet score ever written, Jurowski gives a typically enlightening performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1877 original version – a must for any balletomanes.

The concert will be available on the Marquee TV website and will be free to watch worldwide for 7 days.

Swan Lake is the latest concert from the London Philharmonic Orchestra streamed every Wednesday evening at 8pm on Marquee TV. Today (5 May) sees Maxim Emelyanychev and Miah Persson’s concert of Berlioz and Schumann made available, to be followed by Ryan Bancroft and Gil Shaham (12 May), Lionel Bringuier and Stephen Hough (19 May), and Joshua Weilerstein and Alina Ibragimova (26 May).

David Burke, Chief Executive of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, commented: ‘Throughout the pandemic the LPO has offered world-class performances to audiences for free, through our Marquee TV streams and digital content. After 24 streamed concerts, Swan Lake brings our 2021/22 season at the Royal Festival Hall to a close. It’s only fitting that the season is concluded by our Principal Conductor Vladimir Jurowski in a stunning performance that audiences around the world can access and enjoy.’
