Wigmore Hall presents an evening of fundraising and music at its neighbour, the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, featuring special guest artists at the invitation of John Gilhooly, including Ailish Tynan, Mark Padmore and Elizabeth Kenny. The funds raised from the evening will go to the Help Ukraine emergency appeal organised by the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain, on behalf of all the Ukrainian organisations in this country, and sponsored by the Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of London. Help Ukraine‘s aid and relief partners are AICM (Association Internationale de Cooperation Medicale), Caritas Ukraine and the Ukrainian Red Cross. In London, the appeal is also supporting a vitally needed new Refugee Welcome and Information Centre situated beneath the Cathedral itself.
All ticket sale proceeds from this event will go to Help Ukraine and there will also be the opportunity to donate on the night. These charities and the people on the ground urgently need our help. Anything you can give will be much appreciated. We are very grateful to all participating artists who are kindly donating their fees for this concert, so that all ticket sales can go directly to supporting those who need it most.
