There was an X-Twitter message seemingly from the LA Phil reporting that Zubin Mehta (conductor emeritus there) had passed away. The X account had been fabricated and a hoax perpetrated – the ‘news’ presumably triggered by Mehta’s recent cancellations at La Scala and with the Berlin Philharmonic – the fakery confirmed when the (suspicious) Israel PO phoned the maestro and he answered, apparently amused by the situation…

I can’t add to the apposite comments above. What a world we are living in, at the moment.
Deploring doesn’t help. The issue is: how can we get rid ofX-Twitter which is Musk’s world platform to spew hate and misinformation. This guy could single-handedly take the world down. In addition to X he has 4500 communications satellites up there and has already once cancelled the Ukrainian military communications. You can’t make this up, you know!
