Admirers of Zubin Mehta will I imagine be delighted, following his recent withdrawals from concerts (at La Scala, with Berlin Philharmonic, https://www.colinscolumn.com/berliner-philharmoniker-gustavo-dudamel-conducts-blacher-djordjevic-and-mahlers-fifth-symphony-live-digital-concert-hall-webcast/, and then a Verdi Requiem at Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège), that the LA Phil website continues to confirm Mehta’s imminent appearances there to conduct eight concerts between the Seventh & Seventeenth, https://www.laphil.com/events/performances?Venue=LA+Phil&Season=null, two programmes each presented four times*, including Beethoven’s ‘Eroica’ and ‘Pastoral’ Symphonies, music he recorded during 2021 & 22 for the Dynamic label (CD & DVD) with Maggio Musicale Fiorentino forces, which I look forward to listening to soon.

*in fact five times for the Schumann/Mahler coupling:
