Today the Royal College of Music announces the appointment of Andrew Moore as Artistic Director. Andrew will begin his role from spring 2025 and brings a wide range of experience to the post, including having been Head of Music at the Edinburgh International Festival for more than a decade. Andrew’s career also includes roles with the Academy of Ancient Music where he led the orchestra’s participation in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Royal Northern Sinfonia.
Andrew commented:
“I am really excited about joining the team at the Royal College of Music in early 2025 and bringing my experience gained with orchestras and festivals in the UK and internationally to shape future generations of performers, composers and academics. I have long admired the focus that the College places on its artistic programme, the diverse range of world-class visiting partners and interesting collaborators, and I look forward to continuing to build a world-leading programme that inspires, innovates and challenges.”
